Conscious Leadership Commitments

Fifteen commitments of conscious leadership

      1. Taking radical responsibility: committing to taking ownership of your experience, and not blaming others for your problems.
      2. Living with integrity: aligning your behavior with your values and principles.
      3. Speaking candidly: being honest and direct in your communication.
      4. Listening generously: actively listening and seeking to understand others.
      5. Embodying appreciation: expressing gratitude and acknowledging the contributions of others.
      6. Being curious: staying open to learning and new ideas.
      7. Engaging in healthy conflict: resolving disagreements constructively.
      8. Embracing discomfort: being willing to experience discomfort in service of growth and development.
      9. Practicing empathy: seeking to understand and connect with others’ emotions and experiences.
      10. Creating clarity: ensuring that everyone has a clear understanding of goals, roles, and expectations.
      11. Fostering connection: building and nurturing positive relationships.
      12. Leading with vision: having a clear sense of purpose and direction.
      13. Being accountable: holding yourself and others accountable for commitments and actions.
      14. Being in service: focusing on creating value for others.
      15. Choosing love over fear: approaching challenges with compassion and courage, rather than fear and defensiveness.
The Fifteen Commitments of Conscious Leadership were developed by Jim Dethmer, Diana Chapman, and Kaley Klemp, and are intended to provide a framework for developing self-awareness and becoming a more conscious leader.
